One Piece: Season One, Third Voyage Review
Part three of Funimation's much beloved redub of One Piece. It's not that crappy Saturday morning version, I assure you. Uncut and unedited the way it's supposed to be.
For this stretch of episodes, it's nonstop action. We get the conclusion of the Baratie Arc and jump straight into the Arlong Arc. The two main villains appearing in these episodes are Don Krieg and Arlong. Sanji officially join the crew, and we get to look at Nami's backstory. One Piece really hits it's stride with these episodes, and there's nary a fluff episode in sight.
Special mention should go for episodes 35 and 36, Nami's backstory. I was concerned that the dub would lose the emotional weight of the story, but I was pleasantly surprised when the english VA for Nami managed to bring the right emotional sting to the role.
And don't foget to watch the commentary, you're paying for it, after all.
One Piece: Season One, Third Voyage Overview
Battle on the high seas!
Luffy’s encounter with the scallywag pirate commander Don Krieg reaches an explosive climax, and master chef Sanji joins the Straw Hats with dreams of exotic seafood spurring him onward. As the gang sets sail, they soon encounter underwater oddities that won’t end up on a plate without a devil of a scuffle. Ferocious on land and downright deadly in the water, fishman Arlong is a ruthless money-grubber if ever there was one. His cruel betrayal of Nami prompts a spirited attack by Luffy, but the fishy pirate quickly has the rubber-man headed for Davy Jones’ Locker!
Third Voyage contains episodes 27-39.

One Piece: Season One, Third Voyage Specifications
At this point in the popular comedy-adventure One Piece, Monkey D. Luffy, who's been reduced to a gofer ("Chore Boy!") at a floating restaurant, has to take out Don Krieg and his henchmen before he can continue on his quest to become King of the Pirates. Using his Gum-Gum powers to dispose of the Krieg Pirates, he takes Sanji the cook and super-swordsman Zoro to find Nami. Luffy doesn't care that she stole their ship Going Merry, but she's a friend, and he never abandons a friend. At Nami's childhood home of Cocoyashi Village, Luffy rejoins Usopp, Johnny and Yusaku. He also meets his weirdest foes to date: The Fishmen, under the command of Arlong the Pirate, who has a nose like a sawfish's beak. Arlong and his crew have turned the entire island into a hideout and ruthlessly exploited the people. Nami's painful past as an orphan on the island is related in horrifing detail--her story has a much harsher tone than any of the previous adventures in One Piece. Arlong's cruelty appalls Luffy, who launches an all-out attack on the misshapen band with Zoro and Sanji providing back-up. The villagers believe the assault is hopeless: they don't realize that Luffy has the same indomitable spirit that makes more conventional anime heroes invincible. Although the set ends on a cliff-hanger, fans know Luffy always triumphs in the end. Enter Arlong - Kirsten Kraut - Plymouth, MN USA
The fight with Don Krieg comes to an exciting close and Luffy is off to find Nami, with Sanji now it tow. He winds up at Arlong Park where the notorious pirate-fishman has begun his conquest of East Blue. Nami's past is revealed and there are some pretty intense scenes full of strong emotion. This marks the beginning of the best battle sequence so far in the series and the importance of nakama. This part also ends with something of a cliffhanger, so it is also recommended to get the Fourth Voyage as well.
